About Me

I am a writer, and former educator, now living in Seattle.

I started out as a journalist writing for The Village Voice and NY Newsday on pollution in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I then wrote copy for video game manuals, such as The Hunt for Red October and George Foreman's KO Boxing. More recently, I worked as an educator and grant writer for the University of Washington School of Medicine, securing over $ 7 million in federal funding for elective educational programs.

From 2006 to 2011, I taught First-Year Writing, English Literature, and ESL writing classes in New Jersey. From 2014 to 2024, I worked at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where I developed educational programs, wrote healthcare curricula, and taught medical school elective courses.

In my spare time, I am a real estate investor and landlord and occasional poet. You can find my most recent chapbook of poetry, Complicated Grief, on Amazon. I am also a director of The Thomas R. Morrison Public Art Projects, Inc., a nonprofit named after my late brother, which supports neo-classic public art in New Orleans.
